Two officers injured, three others dead in Indiana officer-involved shooting

ELKHART, Ind. (WSBT) — Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Elkhart near the Martin's Supermarket on East Jackson Boulevard.

Elkhart Police tell us two officers were injured and three people, including the alleged suspect, are dead. Those officers were transported to a local hospital and were in stable condition at last check.

The Elkhart Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Elkhart Police or the Elkhart Homicide Unit.

Police say there is no ongoing threat to the public, and the scene is no longer active.
