Tornadoes spotted in Texas Panhandle

Severe weather has made an appearance for the second evening in a row.

On Thursday afternoon, viewer Bary Nusz captured video of a tornado touch down outside Silverton.

Nusz sent video of the tornado to ABC7's chief meteorologist Corbin Voges.

The tornado was on the ground from 6:11 p.m. until 6:16 p.m. and no damage was reported.

Another tornado was spotted outside Miami on Thursday as well.

The tornado that was NW of Miami Thursday night has been given an EF1 rating.

This tornado had a damage path of 11.27 miles and was on the ground for 36 minutes. Thankfully no injuries or deaths involved with this tornado.

Much of the Texas Panhandle was under a tornado watch Thursday afternoon.

By Thursday evening the tornado watch had been lifted for Amarillo, however a severe thunderstorm watch remained in effect for several counties in the area.

According to the National Weather Service Amarillo, as of 7 p.m. "storms have intensified and are producing large hail now."
