Year long search for next Amarillo College president nearing an end, again

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Theyear long search for the next Amarillo College president is nearing an end, again.

On Monday, the Board of Regents is holding a special meeting where it will go into executive session to "deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, and duties of the college president."

Then on Tuesday, the board will select the finalist(s) for the position.

AC has been looking for a president sinceDr. Russell Lowery-Hart left to take the chancellor job atAustin Community College. He resigned effective Sept. 30, 2023.

The board named two finalists in April but scrapped the search when one of the candidates pulled their name from consideration.
