Fire at storage facility in Amarillo causes $300,000 in damage

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A fire at a storage facility in Amarillo caused $300,000 in damage.

It started around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday at 1550 Bell Street.

The fire department said initial crews had trouble finding the fire's precise location due to the building's size and layout.

It took 3.5 hours to get under control.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Amarillo Fire Marshal’s Office.
