The Department of Justice just completed the largest fentanyl bust in history, arresting 16 and seizing hundreds of kilos of fentanyl.

Former Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department and retired FBI Special Agent Jody Weis says the multi-state operation recovered 119 million in lethal doses from cartels.

He says that synthetic fentanyl is dangerous because it is incredibly potent.

“If you look at it, it’s 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine and 50 times stronger than heroin,” Weis said. “What’s a lethal dose? Two milligrams. What’s two milligrams? That’s a grain of salt.”
