CANYON, Texas (KVII) -- The severe weather season started off with a devastating tornado.

An EF1, packing 110 mph winds, hit the north side of Canyon on April 26.

The same night, an EF0 twister touched down near McCormick Road in Randall County.

A third tornado, this one an EF1, touched down roughly eight miles northwest of Hereford.

Mother nature reminding us early that you need to always be weather aware.
