APD finds 2 young children near I-40, investigation ongoing

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Update 10:52 p.m. 3/27/25: The two children have been identified, and the parents have been located.

According to APD, an investigation is ongoing, and CPS has been notified.

Original Story: Amarillo Police are asking for the community's help in identifying two children found near I-40 and Georgia.

According to APD a citizen saw these two children in the area of I40/Georgia and called them.

They are both under age 5.

APD found another young child this evening and he was promptly identified and reunited with his family.
